*sigh*

It's been almost a month since the first time I work in an office. Being an employee is not as "excited" as I imagine sometimes. Arrived at 9, turn on my computer, check emails, reply emails, morning meeting, lunch, meeting in client's office sometimes, making phonecalls, making phonecalls, making phonecalls... and so on... Those are the things I do normally in the office. Not to mention that I also do things like, checking out unimportant emails, updating my blog, chatting with some friends, and all the other fun things! (hmmm... the fun things are absolutely make my day sometimes! =)

However, being an employee makes me miss being a teacher, I think. You know, the nervousness when you're standing in front of the class, having around 30 pairs of eyes watching over what you say and what you do, and paying attention to what you say. Or having tutorial with little kids who sometimes can be a real devil, yet most of the times be a real angel. Having an argument with them about a math problem or about telling them to pick up the pencil that they throw to the floor instead of using a new one on the pencil case to write with.

I also miss the critical questions from the young students, such as 'why do you become a teacher?’; ‘do you want to be a teacher or someone else ask you to do it?’; ‘you’re an adult right?’; ‘do you have any children?’; ‘do you want to have children?’ The simple questions which I never think of before. Questions that make me think about things that adults may never think it’s important.

Yep… Those are the things I miss sometimes…
